Welcome to The Writers Club - Our NO Bullshit Website!
Many people have the desire to write and with the arrival of Blogging on the Internet this has become easier and easier. Today there are thousands of blogs sites, magazines, newspapers, TV channels, radio stations, book publishers and many other organisations that rely on information for their business to be successful. That information has to come from somewhere. It might be from an employed writer or journalist, a freelance person or a speculative writer. There is a need for news items, magazine articles, TV, Radio and Stage scripts, blogs and other material. This is required in huge volumes to satisfy the demands of the media.
Today the opportunities to be successful in this area are the best they have ever been. The problem is that only about 1% of those who write ever get anything published. And sadly only about 1% of those ever make it big! The editors of these media businesses are inundated with material from all sorts of sources. The rejection rate is very high, and the speed of rejection very fast. By that we mean, the person who has the job of reviewing new material often only reads the first few paragraphs before rejecting it as unsuitable. They have plenty more to look at.
The secret lies in getting into that top 1% of people who submit material and get a reasonable level of acceptance, therefore making money for themselves. Getting into the top 1% is easier than most realise. It is all about understanding the basic rules of writing and submission.
That is the purpose of this club. To help all its members get into that top 1% of writers. Remember even the best writers get rejections and some get more material rejected than accepted. You never know, you might get into the top 1% of that 1%; some have to, so why not you!
The time will come when you have grasped the basics so that you can confidently write an article, a blog, a script or even a book and stand a good chance of getting it accepted and published. If the material is good enough you may be invited to submit other manuscripts for consideration. Maybe you'll get some semi or permanent work.
If you are very fortunate and become a well known author with your content being converted into films such as happened for J.K. Rowling and the Harry Potter books, then you will become wealthy and hopefully very wise.

This club is for those who think they might be interested in writing, from beginners to professionals and for all levels in between. We welcome the expert writers for no other reason than we ask them to share their skills, knowledge and experience with all the other members.

PS I have to remind you that very few writers ever become as successful as J.K. Rowling, but that does not mean that you can't try, and even succeed!
PPS Why do we call this a No Bullshit Website? Because we are sick and tired of all the hype, graphics, testimonials and other stuff that is designed to annoy us on so many websites these days. We try and tell it as it is and leave the Bullshit to others!
