The Writer's Club Mission:
Practice writing, earn prizes, & have fun!
~Our mission is to provide a fun, educational, and rewarding type of club to help aspiring writers practice writing while simultaneously earning prizes.
About:
This club is american based and has an online presence. The majority of the club is managed on a Google Classroom page. The recommended age requirement is for members to be at least 13+ years of age to abide by COPPA Regulations. Otherwise parent or guardian permission may be required. Members should also know how to speak and write English. It is free to join the club and to leave at any time. Members of the club are split into teachers and students. Though it has a lot of similarities to running like a classroom, there are some notable differences such as:
- Students gain points for completing assignments and being an active member in the club.
- Students can choose what assignments they'd like to complete.
- Points can be traded for prizes (physical prizes are bought with club funds).
- Active students can apply to be a teacher in the club once they've gotten enough points.
- Teachers are responsible for keeping track of students, keeping track of points, and providing ample writing opportunities.
- Teachers are not required to have a high level of writing experience, though it is encouraged.
- Teachers may also create guides and lessons to teach students more about the art of writing.
- The Writer's Club also has a section for communication, spoilers, and archives in a Discord server.
